Send Push

England are one step away from successfully defending their European title but face arguably their toughest test so far in the tournament.

After needing extra time and penalties to make it through the quarter-final against Sweden, the Lionesses again needed the extra 30 minutes to book their place in the final by beating Italy. England were on the verge of losing the game until Michelle Agyemang’s stoppage time equaliser in normal time, before Chloe Kelly’s extra time winner.

It’s now Spain that stand in England’s way in what is a replay of the World Cup final just two years ago. On that occasion, Spain came out as 1-0 winners, England will hope it’s a different story this time around.
