'Yeh Publicity Stunt..' Akshay Reveals If Hera Pheri 3 Fallout With Paresh Rawal Was Fake

Earlier this year, the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3 finally got on track with its original lead star cast of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal and director Priyadarshan.

However, months later, Paresh Rawal revealed that he has quit the film over some issue and that led to a massive controversy as Akshay Kumar filed a lawsuit against his longtime collaborator.

Director Priyadarshan too slammed Paresh Rawal for his unprofessional move while Suniel Shetty tried to salvage the situation.

Recently, it was reported that the two buried the hatchet as Paresh Rawal confirmed his return to the franchise.

All this while, there was a section of people on social media who believed the fallout to be fake and a publicity stunt for Hera Pheri 3.

Was Akshay Kumar-Paresh Rawal Fallout A Publicity Stunt?

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar was asked if the fallout was indeed a publicity stunt. He replied, “Nahin, yeh publicity stunt nahin hai (No, this isn't a publicity stunt). The things went legal, so when legal things are involved, we cannot call it a publicity stunt; it is a real thing.”

He further added, “But ab sab kuch theek ho gaya hai. Very soon, some kind of announcement can come. Yes, there were some ups and downs. But now everything is solved, and we are back together, and we have always been together. Yes, that’s it!”

What Paresh Rawal Said About His Return To Hera Pheri 3

Last month, Paresh Rawal had confirmed his return to the third instalment, he had stated, “Nahin controversy kuch nahin hai (There’s no controversy). I believe that when people have loved something so much, then you have to be extra careful. It is our responsibility toward the audience. The audience has given you so much adulation. You can’t take things for granted. Mehnat karke unko do (Work hard and give them the film). So I was of the opinion that sab saath mein aaye, mehnat karein. Aur kuch nahin (Everyone should come together, work hard). It is all resolved now.”

He had added, “Pehle bhi aane hi waali thi (Earlier too the film was scheduled to release), but it’s just that we had to fine-tune ourselves (laughs). After all, all of them are creative, be it Priyadarshan, Akshay or Suniel. They are friends for many, many, many years.”
