Want to boost attendance and reduce absenteeism at the workplace? One surprisingly effective strategy is simple—entice employees with delicious food! In a country full of food lovers, few things motivate people like the promise of a satisfying meal. Recently, a viral post on social media highlighted just how powerful this tactic can be. An X (formerly Twitter) user named DJay sparked a wave of interest by sharing a glimpse of his office's daily meals, and it left netizens craving more.

On Wednesday, DJay posted a series of mouth-watering photos accompanied by a witty caption: “Why you go to the office every day..” The post quickly gained traction, with people amazed by the impressive spread served at his workplace.

A Peek Into the Tempting Menu

The images showcased an array of colorful and appetizing dishes. One photo featured a traditional North Indian lunch of plain rice, chole (chickpeas), and dry aloo sabzi (spiced potatoes). Another meal included jeera rice, creamy paneer curry, chapatis, mixed dry vegetables, and a serving of halwa for dessert. Yet another plate displayed a tasty mix of pulao and paneer, while other snapshots revealed salads and gourmet-style offerings like chocolate mousse sandwiches, veg chowmein, chilli paneer, roasted soya chunks, and paneer kababs paired with parathas.

DJay noted in the comments that what he shared was merely “10% of the menu.” According to him, the full spread regularly includes a rotating variety of treats such as brownies, muffins, and other desserts that could rival those of a five-star buffet.

Curious minds soon uncovered the identity behind DJay. He is reportedly Dhananjay Dhawale, a tech professional employed at BNY Mellon (BNY India), a prominent financial services firm. His LinkedIn profile confirmed his role in the tech sector, making it all the more impressive that such culinary delights are a routine part of his office environment.

The viral post reignited conversations around employee satisfaction and creative workplace perks. While flexible hours and remote work options are popular, DJay’s post proves that sometimes, the way to a loyal employee's heart truly is through the stomach.
