Meghan Markle sent THIS to King Charles to mend royal rift: Report

Send Push
As King Charles III quietly navigates a period marked by personal health challenges and milestone celebrations, Meghan Markle may have chosen this moment to extend a symbolic olive branch.

According to Fox News Digital, royal correspondent Neil Sean reported that a “sample box of delights from As Ever has been delivered to Clarence House with a note,” citing “a very well-placed source.” Clarence House is the London residence of the monarch. Sean added that “an As Ever gift box [was sent], which included the… jams, honey, crêpes mix and various assortments,” and described it as “a gifted idea from… the Duchess of Sussex .”

Sean also noted that Meghan “holds the king… in such high regard” and highlighted that she had previously sent similar keepsake boxes, accompanied by handwritten notes, to friends during the launch of her brand. On April 3, the day after the products became available to the public, Meghan reposted images of celebrity recipients—including Kris Jenner and Zoe Saldaña—on her Instagram Stories. The launch saw her products sell out in under an hour.

Meghan originally introduced her lifestyle brand under the name American Riviera Orchard, but rebranded it as As Ever in February 2025 due to trademark complications. Several royal commentators have suggested that if the delivery did reach Clarence House, it may be Meghan’s subtle attempt to thaw relations with the royal family—strained since she and Prince Harry stepped back as senior working royals in 2020 and relocated to California.

The Duchess of Sussex’s new lifestyle and homemaking brand, dedicated to beautifully crafted essentials, has been available to shop on the brand’s website since its official launch. Meghan first confirmed the arrival of the brand in an Instagram Reel posted on February 17. “As Ever essentially means as it’s always been,” she explained. “And if you’ve followed me since 2014 with the Tig, you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening. This is what I do and I haven’t been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years but now I can.”

While this could be a way for Meghan to mend broken relationships Prince Harry’s dynamics with the royal family has remained rocky. After briefly visiting his father in February following the king’s cancer diagnosis, communication has reportedly broken down again. People magazine reported that King Charles “no longer answers Harry’s calls or responds to his letters,” and that attempts to reconnect with Prince William “through calls, texts and messages have also been ignored.”

Harry was in London recently for two days at the Royal Courts of Justice, appealing the government’s decision to strip him and Meghan of publicly funded security after their royal departure. Despite the timing, father and son did not reunite before the monarch and Queen Camilla left for Italy.

Charles had once played a personal role in Meghan’s royal journey—he walked her down the aisle at her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, filling in for her estranged father, Thomas Markle, who could not attend.
