Patna: “We should not trust Pakistan and should give reply to it in its own language,” the sobbing son of martyred Border Security Force (BSF) sub inspector Mohammad Imtiyaz remarked as the soldier was laid to rest on Monday at his native village in north Bihar`s Saran district.
Earlier in the day, the body of Mohammed Imtiaz, arrived at Patna airport where RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, state BJP president Dilip Jaiswal, several ministers and senior administrative officials laid wreaths on the mortal remains to pay their tributes to the braveheart.
The BSF sub inspector was martyred when his unit posted along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir's RS Pura sector came under heavy Pakistani firing on May 10. He was a native of Narayanpur village in Saran district. His last rites were performed with full state honours at his native village.
As the mortal remains of the soldier were being laid to rest, people gathered at his burial said that Pakistan could not be trusted and should always be paid back in the same coin.
Martyred BSF sub inspector`s son, Mohammed Imran, said, “I am proud of my father`s supreme sacrifice and I pay respect to all those bravehearts, who lost their lives while defending unity and integrity of the country. Pakistan is killing Indian soldiers by deceit, as wives are losing their husbands and sons are losing their fathers.
“Pakistan should be given a reply in its own language so that supreme sacrifices of martyrs do not go in vain. I will now spend my life with memories of my father who made supreme sacrifice for the country and I will feel proud of being called the son of a martyr. Instead of relying on Pakistan, India should give a befitting reply to it so that soldiers do not need to make supreme sacrifices time and again,” he commented, while making all efforts to stop tears from rolling down.
Aftab, a relative of Imtiaz, told reporters, "Everyone is proud of Imtiaz for the supreme sacrifice. He was very keen to join the armed forces. I have seen him working hard to get selected."
