Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The city police have made elaborate security arrangements to ensure smooth proceedings and public safety in view of the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet meeting scheduled to be held at Rajwada on Tuesday.

Additional commissioner of police Amit Singh said that more than 1,000 police personnel would be deployed across the area for security. Senior officers and police staff would be stationed at key locations to maintain law and order.

As per the official, for the first time, body-worn cameras will be used to live stream the event. These live feeds will be monitored by officials in real time, prompting immediate action if any suspicious activity is detected. The move aims to enhance transparency and responsiveness in law enforcement.

In addition, police personnel in civil dress will be deployed in the vicinity and special surveillance will be maintained in sensitive zones from high-rise buildings. Drones and CCTV cameras will also be used to monitor the situation.

As Rajwada will be a no-vehicle zone, all routes towards it will be restricted. The traffic police have also made arrangements to divert the traffic surrounding the venue to ensure that the citizens do not face any inconvenience due to the security measures. Adequate parking arrangements too have been made for vehicles.

Singh also mentioned that tenders had been floated to equip all police stations with body-worn cameras in the near future. These cameras were expected to play a significant role in preventing criminal activities, he said.
