Fighting Horse Rams Into Auto-Rickshaw, Gets Stuck; 2 Passengers Injured — Video Shows Struggling Animal

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A horse rammed into an auto-rickshaw and got stuck inside while fighting with another horse in Jabalpur on Wednesday.

A video of the horse stuck inside the auto-rickshaw is circulating on social media, in which the animal can be seen badly trapped and struggling to move. Locals are seen trying to rescue it, while traces of blood are also visible on the horse.

Two passengers sitting inside the halted rickshaw were seriously injured in at Nagrath Chowk.

The chaos unfolded after two horses began fighting on a busy street, sending commuters and shopkeepers into panic.

Horses barged in a showroom, causing damage

According to eye witnesses, two horses engaged in an uncontrollable altercation, in which the horses barged into a showroom near the main road and caused heavy damage in the store before managing to escape.

Meanwhile one horse fled the scene, the other one bolted inside an auto rikshaw out of fear, leaving two passengers injured critically. The animal got stuck inside the vehicle.

Commuters and pedestrians rushed in to aid the injured people, and attempted to help the animal as well but were unsuccessful until the municipal staff intervened the scene. The trapped horse resisted initial rescue efforts by the commuters but eventually was calmed.

Both passengers of the auto-rickshaw and the auto driver were injured in the collision and were rushed to hospital in a 108 ambulance.

A passerby said, "Two horses were engaged in a fight, an auto rikshaw halted near the scene when one of the horse crashed inside the vehicle, while the other one fled. The horses caused a heavy damage in a nearby showroom before crashing into the vehicle".

According to eyewitnesses the entire incident triggered panic among the commuters.
