Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A teenage boy assaulted a minor girl in full public view for allegedly refusing to give him money to buy alcohol for his friendsnear the district hospital on Dhar Road on Friday.
According to the police, a case has been registered against the minor boy based on the complaint of the 17-year-old girl. The incident occurred around 2:30 pm when the girl was on her way to Ujjain.
She told police that the accused stopped her near the Ganganagar wine shop and demanded ₹3,000. When she refused, the boy allegedly slapped her and punched her in the face, causing a nose injury and bleeding.
Eyewitnesses reported that the boy first attacked the girl in front of D-Mart and then pulled her toward the wine shop while assaulting her. Fortunately, a Dial 100 police vehicle passed through and the police personnel intervened and detained the accused.
During questioning, the accused claimed that he and the girl had been in a live-in relationship for two years while the girl had been in contact with other boys. Seeing her with someone else again triggered him.
The police registered a case against the accused under sections 119(1), 115(2), 296, 351(3) of the BNS and detained him.
