Mumbai Indians captain Jasprit Bumrah couldn't help but praise Jasprit Bumrah's impact in their 20-run victory over the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 Eliminator on Friday in Mullanpur. The right-arm speedster underlined that Bumrah is as expensive to the team as Mumbai's housing prices.
The Ahmedabad-born cricketer notched up figures of 4-0-27-1 as he turned around the match in his third over when the Titans were on track to chasing down 229. Bumrah cleaned up Washington Sundar with a stunning yorker as it breached between his legs to knock back the leg stump. Mumbai eventually managed to restrict the Titans to 208.
Speaking at the post-game presentation, Pandya said about Bumrah:
"Whenever you feel the game is going far [away], just get him. It's like Mumbai housing prices - he's that expensive! I just need to throw the ball. I just thought if we can keep some extra runs at the end. It was important Jassi comes and bowls that over, and the margin becomes bigger."
"It's a luxury. It's like Mumbai housing prices." 😉

"It is so difficult to get big overs against him" - Tom Moody on Jasprit Bumrah
Speaking on ESPN Cricinfo after the match, ex-Australian all-rounder Tom Moody underlined that Bumrah is so far ahead of the rest and was stunned by how he cleaned up a set Washington Sundar. Moody elaborated:
"The 24 balls he bowls is such a threat. It is not impossible, but it is so difficult to get big overs against him. You are really playing 20 overs versus 16. He is so far ahead of the rest, it is ridiculous. With Bumrah, he's got that genuine wicket-taking ability. He's pure class. The yorker he bowled, you just cannot bowl a better ball than that. That is the absolute perfect leg-stump yorker that has gone between Sundar's legs. To a batter that is in and set, you quite often see that with a new batter, but this is a batter that is in. He's going at 200 strike rate."
