Mumbai: A minor boy sustained serious injuries after being hit by a reversing car in Bandra West on Tuesday afternoon. Following a complaint from the child’s father, the Kherwadi Police have registered an FIR against the driver and launched an investigation.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 12:30 PM when the child was playing outside his house along with his three-year-old younger brother. During that time, a car driver allegedly reversed the vehicle without caution and struck the child.
As a result of the collision, the boy suffered serious injuries to his head and hand. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. The police have booked the driver under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for rash and negligent driving. Further investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events and to hold the driver accountable.
