In a spine-chilling incident, a man was arrested in West Bengal on Saturday after he was seen walking with the severed head of his sister-in-law. The incident reportedly took place in Basanti town, located in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district.
A video of the man, walking with the severed head has surfaced. In the video, the man can be seen walking with ease on a busy road, with the severed head in one hand and a lethal weapon in the other. Bystanders and bikers can be seen stopping and recording the man.

The accused man has been identified as Bimal Mandal. Reportedly, Mandal arrived at the police station with the severed head on Saturday morning and was arrested by the police.
Reportedly, the reason behind the gruesome killing was over a family dispute. Police said, the body of the woman has been sent for post-mortem and the weapon has been seized from the accused.
Similar IncidentIn a similar incident in West Bengal itself, in February 2024, a man was seen carrying his wife’s severed head in Purba Medinipur district. He walked around a bus stop with her head on one hand and a sickle in the other. The reason for the killing was suspicion over an extra marital affair.
