Recently, he had made some comments about the Brahmin community, after which he was facing criticism. Now Anurag Kashyap has apologized. He apologized by posting a long post on social media.

Anurag Kashyap apologized

Anurag Kashyap wrote, 'I forgot my limits while replying to someone in anger. And I spoke badly about the entire Brahmin community. That community whose many people have been in my life, are still there and contribute a lot. Today all of them are hurt by me. Many intellectuals, whom I respect, are hurt by the way I spoke in that anger. I myself deviated from the topic by saying such a thing.'

Anurag further wrote, 'I apologize from the bottom of my heart. To this society to whom I did not want to say this, but wrote it in anger while responding to someone's bad comment. I apologize. To all my fellow friends, to my family and to the Ufas society, to my family and to that society for my way of speaking and for using abusive language. Now I will work on it so that this does not happen again. I will work on my anger. And if I have to talk about the issue, I will use the right words. I hope you will forgive me.'

 

What is the whole matter? 

Actually, recently a film Phule was to be released. But this film could not be released due to promoting casteism. After this Anurag Kashyap made many objectionable comments on social media about the censor board and the Brahmin community. After this Anurag had to face a lot of criticism. Writer Manoj Muntashir was also very angry with him. He had asked Anurag to stay within limits.

Anurag Kashyap had written about the controversy related to the film Phule, 'In the screening of Dhadak 2, the censor board said that Modi ji has abolished the caste system from India. On the same basis, Santosh was also not released in India. Now Brahmins have a problem with Phule. Bhaiya, when there is no caste system, then what kind of Brahmin is it. Who are you? Why are you burning with anger?'
