Kaun Banega Crorepati: There is very sad news for Kaun Banega Crorepati lovers and Amitabh Bachchan fans. Yes, the veteran actor will no longer host the quiz show. He has decided to leave the show. If media reports are to be believed, Salman Khan may replace Big B as the host of KBC. If a recent report by Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, Bollywood's 'Bhaijaan' is in talks with the makers of KBC and if all goes well, he will take over the hosting duties from Big B from season 17.

The source of the entertainment portal claimed, “Salman Khan is the king of the small screen and he is the best face to replace Amitabh Bachchan as he is very much liked by the audience and has a very strong connect. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan has also hosted KBC and if all goes well, Salman will be the new face to rock the television sets.” Amitabh Bachchan may leave KBC due to “personal reasons”.

Interestingly, Sony TV announced Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 through a promo video with Amitabh Bachchan on April 4. He revealed that registrations for KBC 17 are open and encouraged fans to register through the Sony Liv app, SMS or IVR call. While the exact premiere date has not been revealed yet, KBC 17 is expected to air in August. Amitabh Bachchan has been hosting KBC since the year 2000. The third season was hosted by Shahrukh Khan.
