Trent Rockets cricket star Adam Hose has provided an update after he was rushed to hospital during the Hundred match against Southern Brave. The batsman dislocated his right ankle while fielding during the first innings of the game.
The clash was paused for 10 minutes while Hose received treatment for the horror injury which left his foot visibly pointing in an unnatural position. Medics rushed to the 32-year-old's aid as he was left in the floor in agony before a screen was raised around Hose's body as he received treatment.
In trying to stop Michael Bracewell's powerful shot, Hose lost his balance and fell awkwardly to the floor. The Isle of Wight-born star was then carried from the field and taken to hospital, as an ambulance was summoned.
And Hose has indicated there could be a long road to recovery following his injury. The former Northern Superchargers star was grateful for the support he'd received in the face of his ordeal however.
"Quick message to say I appreciate each and everyone of you who have reached out," Hose posted on Instagram.

"It's going to be a long old ride, but I couldn't ask for more amazing people around me. Big love."
Hose wrote his message over the top of an image that showed his leg wrapped up in a hefty cast and raised on a pillow, with Match of the Day on the television and Burnley boss Scott Parker on the screen.
The veteran cricketer's county team Worcestershire had shared their support following the incident. "Everyone at Worcestershire CCC sends their best wishes to Adam Hose, who has sustained a lower leg injury while playing for Trent Rockets," they said.
"We wish him a speedy recovery and will provide further updates in due course."
Trent Rockets went on to chase down Southern Brace's 140-run total with with four balls to spare despite Hose being unavailable. Tom Moores and Tom Banton scored 55 and 49 respectively as the Midlands side knocked off the score having lost six wickets and now sit second in the table.
The injury will be a bitter blow for Hose and the teams he represents for the remainder of the summer. In June, he scored his maiden first-class double century when he racked up 266 off 253 balls against Hampshire, in which he notched 31 fours and seven sixes.
