Emily Atack engaged months after baby's arrival as she shares stunning diamond ring

Emily Atackhas announced her engagement in a sweet social media post. The actress took to Instagram to share the exciting news that boyfriend Alistair Garner has proposed.

The duo, whowelcomed son Barney in June last year, revealed their big news with a happy image and cute picture caption. In the snap, Emily is seen hugging into her man while her stunning diamond ring is on full show on his bare chest.

She was seen with a big smile on her face as she nestled into her man while wearing a white vest top. Emily referenced a tune from the nineties in her caption. Sharing a lyric by The Cure, she wrote: "It's Friday, I'm in love." She added three diamond ring emojis.

Her followers were quick to head to the comments section to share their delight at the news. Among those sending their love was Laura Whitmore. The former Love Island presenter said: "Yassssss! Delighted for you both you cuties xxx."

Fleur East also joined in the praise, gushing: "Woooo! Let’s gooo!!! Congrats," alongside two love heart emojis. And Sophie Ellis Bextor shared heart and clapping hand emojis too in her show of appreciation at the news.

Emily's Rivals co-star Bella Maclean also expressed: "AHHHHHHHHHHH" in excitement.

Emily and Alistair welcomed son Barney to the world last year. She detailed her pregnancy journey after she broke the news in December 2023. At the time, she said: "I've never been so happy and utterly terrified at the same time.

"Every day is mixed with thrill, fear, joy, hysteria, topped off with a lot of vomiting - a bit like when you've just stepped off of the Oblivion at Alton Towers on a hangover.

"I've got to know my body on such an insane level. It's made me appreciate the one I've been given so much." She continued at the time: "I'm doing my absolute best to make it a home for the little squid I'm growing."

Last month, welcomed son Barney in June last year to join them to celebrate the first birthday of their baby boy. And taking to Instagram Stories at the time, Emily shared photos and video clips of everyone enjoying the party.

Celebrity Juice star Leigh Francis, 52, was among those making an appearance. Her other snaps showed the sweet birthday themed snacks and food products and she revealed the party food went down a storm with some of the younger guests attending the event.

As she continued to mark her son's birthday, Emily shared more photos from her pregnant days. Snaps showed her proudly showing off her baby bump - while other snaps showed her son at various stages from the first 12 months of his life.

Alistair was also featured in some of the photographs, including some that showed him hugging, kissing and doting on his son. Another sweet snap showed Emily hugging her son while in bed with the family dog at her side.
