Ranvir informed viewers: "Disturbing breaking news from America, two members of staff from the embassy in Washington have been shot dead outside the city's Jewish museum.
"The man and woman were killed as they left an event. The suspect is in custody. Police say he shouted "Free Palestine" while being detained.", reports .
This follows ITV's announcement that Good Morning Britain will be extended by half an hour.

From January 2026, Good Morning Britain will broadcast from 6am until 9.30am, while Lorraine Kelly's morning chat show will be shortened to 30 minutes, airing for only 30 weeks of the year.

"This change will see ITV bring all its national news gathering into one hub, with Good Morning Britain benefitting from the journalistic and production resources already in place for national news bulletins, for the website and for digital platforms including ITVX."
Lorraine is set to air for 30 weeks of the year, broadcasting from 9.30am-10am during its run, while Good Morning Britain will fill the 6am to 10am slot when Lorraine is off-air.
, fronted by and , will continue in its usual 10am until 12:30pm weekday slot throughout the year.
will keep its current 12.30pm to 1.30pm weekday slot but will also be reduced to a 30-week run per year.
Earlier this year, ITV revealed that popular soaps and would have their weekly content trimmed by an hour starting next year.
The changes come amid a decline in advertising revenue, contributing to a wider financial crunch in the TV industry.
ITV Studios, responsible for producing the channel's daytime shows, is currently discussing a proposal with its daytime teams.
The plan involves merging the production of its three distinct shows - Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women - into one team sharing resources and operations from 2026.
Meanwhile, GMB will transition from ITV Studios to ITV News at ITN, consolidating all national news gathering into a single hub.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
