Laila Rouass has made a strong statement after revealing she'sfinally got hitched to Ronnie O'Sullivan. The Footballers' Wives star and snooker champion, rekindled their relationship recently after being separated for almost a year.
EastEnders star, Laila, 54, who has starred in a whole host of TV shows, including Holby City and Spooks, split with Ronnie, 49, nine months ago after previously spending 13 years together. However, sharing a snap of the couple outside a registry office in Shadwell, East London, today in which Laila sports a cream silk dress and black cowboy boots, the actress revealed they'd finally tied the knot after their recent reconciliation.

The newlyweds have smiles a mile wide in the snap as they celebrate their nuptials covered in confetti, with Ronnie grinning, cutting a casual figure in a navy shirt, trousers and trainers. However, Laila's accompanying caption to the photo is full of emotion as she references the ongoing war in Palestine.
Telling her followers she and Ronnie decided to 'refresh their connection after a year's break', she praised the Palestinians, writing: "The Palestinians have taught me so much, most importantly to honour human connection, make love your motivator and to keep refreshing it. So after almost a year break…this was one way of pressing the refresh button."
Teasing that "Venice was fully booked", in reference to Jeff Bezos' £15 million wedding to Lauren Sanczhez today, she continued: "Ok...so it wasn’t Venice…that was fully booked. It was Cable Street in Shadwell where I was born and where my heart belongs.
"It’s where in 1936, local activists along with the Jewish community gathered together to demonstrate against the planned fascist BUF marchers and it’s on their shoulders we stood today and said our 'I dos'."
Explaining that Cable Street has a special place in heart, Laila, whose mother is Indian and father is Moroccan, concluded: "The Battle of Cable Street was used by my father as an example of how a community rooted in justice, can bring change…that we all have a duty to fight for the freedom and rights of others.
"The East End is the land of the immigrants. Its vibrancy, diversity and working class roots is something I treasure.
"I was born there, I was educated there, today I was married there and I will be buried there because my roots are my roots.
"Free Palestine
"Mrs O’Sullivan."
Laila's impassioned post was met with a flurry of well wishes from her famous pals, including singer Beverley Knight, who replied: "Congratulations Laila" and Denise Van Outen, who said: "Congratulations you two."
Meanwhile, Nitin Ganatra, who played Masood Ahmed on EastEnders, seemed somewhat shocked by the news, as he responded: "Whaaaaaaaat? Congratulations!" followed by two love hearts.
A recent report claimed that Ronnie , a seven-time world champion, and Laila are expected to make a fresh start in Dubai after rekindling their romance.
A source told The Sun: “They’ve been on and off before but Ronnie really wants to make it work with Laila. She will be joining him in the Middle East and they’ll see how it goes.”
