A celebration of the late Ozzy Osbourne's life is reportedly being considered for his hometown of Birmingham ahead of a smaller private funeral. The speculation comes just a day after it was announced that the musician had died.
Ozzy's family shared last night that the singer, who rose to fame in the rock band Black Sabbath, had died, aged 76, surrounded by loved ones yesterday morning. His wife Sharon Osbourne, 72, and four of his children issued a joint statement.
The news prompted an outpouring of tributes to Ozzy, who had reunited with his former bandmates for a farewell concert in Birmingham earlier this month. Flowers have since been left on the Black Sabbath Bridge bench and bridge in the city, with fans visiting the area to pay their respects.

It's now been reported that a star-studded celebration of his life could be held in the coming weeks ahead of a smaller private funeral. Yungblud, 27, is among the names said to be expected to be involved with the memorial event.
Yungblud, who performed at Ozzy's farewell show, Back to the Beginning, earlier this month, is thought to have grown close to the late singer-songwriter. He told fans that he was "truly heartbroken" following the news last night.
A source told the Sun: "There are conversations about a celebration of his life in Birmingham, the city that meant so much to him. Artists like Yungblud, who was seen by Ozzy as a musician who could carry on the mantle of what he started all those years ago, is expected to have a role in it."
They added that numerous celebrities will want to pay tribute alongside many fans. The source said: "There are hundreds of big names who will want to pay their respects and celebrate his life and legacy, as well as thousands of fans who would line the streets to say goodbye."
It was announced yesterday that Ozzy, who faced various health issues over the years, had died. His wife Sharon and four of his children, Louis Osbourne, Aimee Osbourne, Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne, shared a statement.
It read: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis."
Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, was among those who paid tribute to Ozzy following the news. He wrote about their friendship in a post on Instagram alongside photos of them together backstage recently.
He wrote in his tribute last night: "I didn't think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room. But as it is written with legends, they seem to know the things that we don't.
"I will never forget you - you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage. Your cross around my neck is the most precious thing I own. You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us the music was enough."
Yungblud, who recently released a charity cover of Black Sabbath's song Changes, concluded by writing: "You took us on your adventure - an adventure that started it all. I am truly heartbroken. You were the greatest of all time."
