Singer Rebekah Del Rio has died at the age of 57. The singer was found dead at her home in Los Angeles on June 23, with a cause of death yet to be confirmed.
The news was confirmed by the Los Angeles Coroner's Office, though further details have yet to be disclosed.
Rebekah's rose to prominence with her performance of Llorando inDavid Lynch's acclaimed 2021 movie Mulholland Drive. The chance meeting between the singer and the celebrated filmmaker happened through a shared agent back in the mid-90s.

At the time, Rebekah had a country record deal in Nashville, Tennessee, thanks to her recording of Llorando - a Spanish version of Roy Orbison's classic Crying.
Upon their encounter, the late David Lynch, who died earlier this year in January, was so taken by Rebekah's performance that he recorded it, leading to the creation of the iconic Club Silencio scene in his film.
Rebekah's death comes 16 years after her son, Phillip C. DeMars, died aged 23 in 2009.
In remembrance, her nephew Dan Coronado has honoured his aunt with a heartfelt eulogy on Facebook. Accompanied by photographs of the beloved artist and her family, he expressed: "Just found out my Tia Becky passed away, and we literally just saw her on Father's Day.

"So grateful the kids got to hear her sing, and also that I didn't listen to her and secretly recorded the moment."
He continued: "Her stage name was Rebekah Del Rio and her and my Uncle Phil came up with that name together. We really were blessed to have a beautiful day with her 2 Sundays ago and I'm so grateful my kids will remember how special it was to hear her God-given talent.
"Her and my cousin Monique can't just sing, they can SING SING if you know what I mean. Her most famous song is titled 'Llorando' which is after Roy Orbison's song 'Crying' which I'm doing right now as I type this out."
He added, "Thank you for sharing your beautiful gift with the world Tia. We love you."
Following Rebekah's passing, heartfelt messages flooded in from fans, as one posted on Reddit: "No! ! ! She was so talented and a beautiful singer. A wonderful addition to David Lynch's universe. I can't believe we've lost another member of his universe. It's already hard enough dealing with David's death. And now Rebekah. She even performed recently at a memorial service for him."
Another wrote: "Tragic. I feel so lucky I got to see her perform within the last few years at the Music Box in Chicago during a Mulholland Drive screening/event."
