Police are investigating the deaths of two people after their bodies have been found on different beaches within 24 hours.
The first body, belonging to a man in his 60s, was found at Echo Beach in Tallebudgera Creek at about 6.45am on Saturday. The second body, belonging to a woman in her 70s or 80s, was located at about 5.40am on Sunday near Palm Beach Surf Lifesaving Club on Jefferson Lane.
Police rushed to both Tallebudgera Creek and Palm Beach, in the Gold Coast, this weekend following the devastating discoveries. Neither death is being treated as suspicious and police have not said if they are linked in any way.

Queensland Police said: "Police are appealing for public information to identify a woman who was located deceased at Palm Beach around 5.40am this morning, July 20.The woman is described as Caucasian, approximately in her 70s or 80s, 160-165cm in height, with short, grey hair.
"She was located wearing black tights, dark coloured t-shirt, brown woollen jumper and brown coloured puffer jacket, no shoes. Police are appealing for anyone with information about the woman’s identity to contact them. The woman’s death is not currently being treated as suspicious. Investigations are continuing.

Queensland Police established two crime scenes and are continuing to investigate the deaths.
