A teaser trailer for the long-awaited second season of Netflix’s Wednesday has finally arrived - but fans aren’t happy.
The hit series helmed by mastermind Tim Burton follows Jenna Ortega stepping into the iconic role of Wednesday Addams.
Season two will be released later this year and throws the kooky young heroine into more creepy chaos and supernatural mysteries when she returns to Nevermore Academy.

Fans were thrilled to see the return of popular characters like Enid Sinclair (played by Emma Myers) and Wednesday’s off-kilter parents, Gomez (Luis Guzmán) and Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones).
However, one unexpected aspect about season two’s release has sparked a furious backlash amongst the fanbase.

Instead of following ’s usual model of releasing all episodes at once, Wednesday season two will be released in two separate parts - the first four episodes on Wednesday, 6th August and the remaining four on Wednesday, 3rd September.
Subscribers were left enraged by the shake-up in the schedule, as it means they’ll be required to keep their Netflix subscription for two months if they want to watch the entire season.
Taking to , one viewer vented: “Ughh I wish netflix would stop with the part 1 and part 2 s***.
“Either release them all at once or just do it weekly. I hate this part s***.”
Someone else pointed out: “Part 1 in August, part 2 after the next billing cycle. Typical.”
To which another user replied: “Just make it weekly cowards. This might just make it look bad for their metrics if people wait until it's all out to binge it.”
“Sounds like I'll be watching in September then,” another complained.
The new shake-up caught similar backlash on X (formerly ), with one fan posting: “Can’t they just release it all together? I’m tired of these double releases with weeks/months apart.”
And another quipped: “Ah yes, the ancient art of witchcraft: lure the viewers in August, hex their patience, then reappear in September like a cursed spell with bad timing. Well played, Netflix.”
Although someone else on Reddit explained a nifty workaround: “If you subscribe on August 6 the new episodes fall within a billing cycle. Or just subscribe on September 3 and get them all at once.
“Or in December when you want to load something up for trips to the family during the holidays. Or years from now. It is very easy to just not subscribe to Netflix.”
Will you be there to catch the new season of Wednesday the day it drops, or is it better to save up all eight episodes for a spooky weekend binge?
Wednesday season 2, part 1 will be released Wednesday, 6th August on Netflix. Part 2 will be released on 3rd September.
