Sir Andy Murray will be following the Wimbledon action from home this year, having retired from professional tennis last year. The two-time Wimbledon champion is not planning toattend the All England Club but will likely keep a close eye on the action.
Murray, 38, recently revealed to The Guardian that he has no plans to visit the tournament unless his children express a desire to do so. However, British hopeful Emma Raducanu will be aiming to emulate her former mentor's success at Wimbledon as she seeks to improve on her fourth-round finish from last year. Raducanu and Murray symbolise two distinct eras of British tennis that were set to team up before last year's doubles fiasco. Express Sport delves into the current state of their relationship, as well as Murray's net worth with his wife, Kim and how it has been impacted by a significant investment.
Andy Murray's relationship with Emma RaducanuEmma Raducanu's relationship with Murray took an unexpected turn at Wimbledon last year. The pair were scheduled to compete together in the mixed doubles event. However, Raducanu, who was performing well in the women's singles, reported wrist stiffness and withdrew from the draw. This unforeseen move effectively ended Murray's Wimbledon career in a rather anticlimactic manner.
His mother and former coach, Judy Murray, took to social media to describe the situation as "astonishing", though she later claimed her comment was made in jest. Meanwhile, Raducanu has repeatedly expressed regret over the incident, despite Murray remaining largely silent.
"I hope he's forgiven me for last year, I still feel bad about it," she said at this year's French Open. "I'm looking forward to seeing him around and having a conversation.
"I think he would give great advice, he's been in a similar situation and would probably understand a lot of things that I'm also going through. But as to anything more, I don't know, that's very far out of thought."

Speaking at the Australian Open in January, Raducanu reaffirmed her admiration for Murray, describing him as someone she's "grown up looking up to."

Andy Murray's net worth with wife KimIn addition to the £47million he earned on the ATP Tour, Murray has boosted his earnings through many sponsorships and endorsements. Despite retiring, the Scot's net worth has increased, as evidenced by his position on this year's Sunday Times Rich List.
The tennis icon was ranked as the 35th wealthiest sportsperson in Britain in May, with an impressive valuation of £110m.
This figure represents a £10m increase from the previous year, indicating that he is far from struggling since retiring from the sport. In May 2025, it was announced that Murray had formally entered the business world by becoming an associate partner at Redrice Ventures.
He has also invested in other ventures such as Game4Padel, a padel court operator, and crowdfunding business Seedrs. This is in addition to his stake in sportswear giant Castore, who sponsored him near the end of his career, and sports tech company TMRW Sports, among others.
However, the Murray empire extends beyond Andy himself. His wife, Kim, also plays a significant role, particularly after the couple purchased the Cromlix Hotel in December 2022.
Hotel shortfallAndy and Kim Murray's love affair with the luxurious Cromlix Hotel in Dunblane is no secret. They celebrated their wedding reception there a decade ago and snapped up the venue for £1.8m almost three years ago.
The 10-bedroom, 34-acre estate boasts sumptuous sleeping quarters, five suites, a one-bedroom lodge, its own chapel, tennis and pickleball courts, and an award-winning eatery.
Despite charging guests between £350 and £950 per night and being awarded AA Hotel of the Year award for Scotland, Cromlix reported a loss of £369,045 for the year ending March 2024, as revealed by CityAM. However, these figures mark an improvement from the previous year's financial shortfall.
Murray's wife, Kim, has been hailed as the "creative force" behind the hotel's revamp, which still holds promise as a lucrative venture. Her knack for promoting their Dunblane gem has been noted.
In an interview with Country Living magazine, Kim explained the reason behind the couple's investment: "We'd finished having children and we'd finished building our house, so it seemed the perfect time. Having little kids has been all-consuming.
"Renovating the hotel has enabled me to come out of motherhood and create something different. I think of it as a family project. Maybe in 15 years, the kids will be interested in it. I want to see where it takes us."
