Arsenal will be looking to make a couple of statement signings before their pre-season friendly schedule begins. The north Londoners will fly to Singapore next week ahead of their opening game against AC Milan. They will also face Newcastle United before taking on bitter rivals Tottenham in Hong Kong.
A number of players have arrived at the Emirates Stadium this summer, with the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard already in the door. However, there is still room for improvement with Mikel Arteta believed to be targeting a new striker. Viktor Gyokeres is the standout candidate but a deal with Sporting is proving difficult to engineer.

Goalkeeper - ArrizabalagaThere is little doubt that David Raya will continue as Arsenal's first-choice goalkeeper when the Premier League campaign gets underway. However, the match against AC Milan will give Kepa Arrizabalaga the opportunity to make a solid impression.
The former Chelsea man will be expected to play in domestic cups and could benefit from gaining some match sharpness ahead of time.

Arsenal already have one of the best defences in the Premier League but the arrival of Christhian Mosquera will add some quality depth. He could get a run out against AC Milan if his move is confirmed before the Gunners travel to Singapore.
A deal worth around £13million plus add-ons has reportedly been agreed, with the Spaniard set to sign a long-term contract. He could make his debut alongside regular starters Jurrien Timber, William Saliba and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Midfield - Zubimendi, Rice, EzeArsenal could boast a new-look midfield when they face AC Milan with Martin Zubimendi likely to feature. He could adopt the holding role previously occupied by Thomas Partey with Declan Rice playing slightly further forward.
Meanwhile, it has been claimed by talkSPORT that an approach for Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze might be imminent. He has a £68m release clause and could play against the Rossoneri if a deal is wrapped up quickly.
Attack - Saka, Rodrygo, GyokeresIn an ideal scenario, two new players would be starting for Arsenal when they go up against AC Milan. Viktor Gyokeres is the club's priority target and while the Gunners are said to be close to agreeing a deal, nothing is set in stone.
If a breakthrough is found in the coming days, there is every chance that Gyokeres could be thrown straight into the side. He could even be joined by Rodrygo, who has been linked with Arsenal and has a reported price tag of £80m.
Bukayo Saka is likely to feature on the opposite flank, while Noni Madueke could make his first appearance from the bench.
Arsenal dream XI vs AC Milan - Arrizabalaga; Timber, Mosquera, Saliba, Lewis-Skelly; Zubimendi, Rice, Eze; Saka, Rodrygo, Gyokeres.
