With energy prices rising, shoppers are on the hunt for new ways to save money on bills. With the colder months approaching, drying clothes can be one of the main ways heating and energy is used, but now shoppers can save money on a gadget from Lakeland.
The Dry: Soon Tri: Mode 3-Tier Heated Hub is now priced at £274.99 from £349.99 on the Lakeland website, saving shoppers £75 on their purchase. This is said to be 'quicker than a clothes horse and quieter than a tumble dryer', as it comes with three different drying modes as well as having a smart and aesthetic appearance.
The three modes include standard mode, which is ideal if buyers are drying a full load of washing and want to keep their heated airer tucked in the corner. Another is compact mode, which allows them to fold down the heated shelves on one side to only use half, making it a great choice for smaller loads.
The third option is wall mode which means both halves can be used, side by side, to create a 'wide, shallow heated clothes airer'. According to the website, this mode is a great choice for those who want to stand the airer up against a wall to use the full capacity of it.
Not only does it have these highly sought-after features, but it can also hold up to 30kg of washing, has a digital display and a remote control and timer function, and it comes with a cover and two laundry baskets. If energy bills are a concern, this heated airer saves energy as the brand worked out that the top shelf doesn't need to be heated at all to dry clothes.
Wilko also has its Monster Shop Grey Heated Clothes Airer for £86, down from £150, on its website. This offers powerful and fast heating, can hold up to 15kg of laundry and is designed in three tiers, which are foldable when needed.
On Argos, there's this Home 21m 3 Tier Heated Airer for £105, which has a 15kg drying capacity and is said to be 'ideal for flat drying'. This option has heated bars to speed up the drying process, the brand says.
The Dry:Soon Tri:Mode from Lakeland has received a high 4 out of 5 star rating, from a range of reviews on its website. One person said: "Nicer on the bills. I bought this because it was more energy efficient and I'm glad I did. It dries the clothes really quick."
Another wrote: "Brilliant airer, I loved mine so I bought one for my daughter as well. It does everything I wanted it to." A third happy customer said: "This is ideal for me as I live in a flat and we aren't able to dry anything outside, it's really convenient. I like how it doesn't create condensation, it's really good."
A handful of others left feedback. For example, one person commented: "I like how this can be stored and the different modes I can use and the heat and drying time is brilliant. The only issue I have had is the cover, although this fits it's a bit of hassle to move around when loading."
Another said: "Great in winter, not used much (in the) last couple of months, but looking forward to getting it back in use again. It was bigger than I expected but does the job!"
