An ex driving test examiner has shared what you will want to practice before you sit your test, because otherwise, you may find yourself disappointed on the day.
@theexexaminer said "you may want to listen in" as he explained the "most common serious faults" you could do during your driving test.
The DVSA produced their top 10 serious faults list, and he explained that he was going to go through them to make everyone aware so they could avoid making the same that others had before them.
So, what are the top ten serious faults, and why should you totally avoid them during your driving test?
10. Not driving at a safe and reasonable speed
9. Poor positioning on the road during normal driving
8. Not responding correctly to road markings
7. Not responding correctly to traffic signs
6. Not having proper control of the steering wheel
5. Not responding appropriately to traffic lights
4. Incorrect positioning when turning right at junctions
3. Not moving off safely
The ex-examiner noted that people not moving off safely would happen "so often" when he was an examiner, so he wasn't surprised to see this in there.
He continued: "Now I think these two have been the top two for years, so it's obviously something that everybody needs to work on a lot more."
2. Not using mirrors correctly when changing direction
1. Not making effective observations at junctions
In the comments, people flocked to explain what had happened to them when they did their driving tests.
One wrote: "I got a serious fault on the control side of forward parking, which was my manoeuvre, which I didn't think you could get," followed by a sobbing emoji.
"I thought incorrect positioning when turning right at junctions would be first," another added.
