A furious dad punched a school teacher in the head nine times in a shocking attack, after storming into his daughter's classroom. The appalling assault happened at the Educational Center 4 in Guará, Brazil and was captured on video.
The dad - identified as Thiago Lênin Sousa - confronted the 53-year-old teacher after he had asked his daughter to stop using her mobile phone and to copy notes from the board. Video footage shows the enraged dad bursting into the classroom and repeatedly hitting the teacher in the head. Other staff members are seen rushing to the aid of their stricken colleague, who tries to shield himself from the vicious blows raining down on him.
Sousa's own daughter even tries to restrain her father, wrapping her arms around his neck in a "rear naked choke" as she tries to pull him off the bleeding teacher.
The visibly shaken teacher later told TV Globo: "I told her not to touch her phone and to copy the content. She must have called her father, and he came to school to get an explanation from me."
The teacher, who suffered a back eye and bruises to his back, said he was too traumatised to return to class.
He added: "I'm going to get a sick note, I'm going to try to get my head around a bit. I'm in no condition to go back to the classroom at the moment.
"It's very sad. I've worked in many schools. I've had arguments many times, but they never ended in actual conflict like today. So, I'm very disappointed."
Police took Sousa to the local station and charged him with bodily harm, insult, and contempt.

He signed a Circumstantial Occurrence Report (TCO) - used normally for lesser offences - and will be released.
The dad admitted he had "gone after" the teacher after his daughter claimed he had insulted her, but denied making threats.
The brutal attack was condemned by the Department of Education of the Federal District, which said in a statement: "The Secretariat condemns any form of violence in the school environment and reaffirms its commitment to ensuring a safe, welcoming, and respectful space for the entire community."
The incident is being investigated by the department's Internal Affairs Division as well as by the Guará Regional Education Coordination. In the meantime, the School Policing Battalion has been deployed to increase security at the campus.
