BBC's hit competition series, Strictly Come Dancing, will return to screens this month with series 23 and a fresh line-up of celebrities ready to take to the dance floor. With host Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman returning to host the glitzy series, the judging panel will also see Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke make a comeback. Meanwhile, Janette Manrara and Fleur East will continue to front Strictly's companion show, It Takes Two.

This series marks Anton's fourth year as a judge after serving as a professional on the dancefloor since the show's debut in 2004. After replacing Motsi for two episodes in 2020, he landed a permanent place on the panel the following year upon Bruno Tonioli's exit. As well as his expert knowledge and skill, Anton has become a beloved fan favourite over the years and regularly shares insight into his personal life with his fans on social media.

When he's not busy on screens, Anton enjoys a quiet home life with his marketing executive wife, Hannah Summers and is a proud father to twins George and Henrietta.

After dating for six years, the couple tied the knot in 2017 after meeting at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey in 2012 and got married with an intimate ceremony.

Anton and Hannah said their "I do's" one month after their children were born. However, their roles as parents didn't come without hardship as the dancer revealed they had struggled to conceive before eventually falling pregnant using IVF.

They opted to try the fertility treatment after Hannah's heartbreaking battle with endometriosis.

Anton opened up about their struggles during an appearance on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum, Happy Life podcast, admitting: "I knew I wanted to be with her, I saw her with her nephews. She's so kind and so caring, I just couldn't understand the universe."

The TV star recalled: "Then we went through the process of IVF, well crying out loud. You girls are extraordinary. As much as I want to get involved, all I can do is hold your hand. It makes me emotional every time I talk about it. The injections, the stress, the anxiety. I have anxiety and stress but it's not my body."

Thankfully for the couple, the treatment worked on the first try and Hannah fell pregnant just three months into treatment.

While Anton is a happy husband and father, who regularly beams with pride about his personal life, the 59-year-old previously spoke out about feeling "humiliated" after a shock betrayal.

Years before finding love with Hannah, the Strictly star was once in a relationship that quickly turned sour and resulted in him fleeing his hometown of Sevenoaks in Kent.

During a 2023 appearance on Gyles Brandreth's podcast, Rosebud, Anton reflected: "I met this girl called Vanessa, she was a proper girlfriend.

However, things took an unexpected turn for the star as he then added: "The humiliation of being dumped by her and then you find out she started dating one of your mates.

"It sort of led me to leave town. I'm gonna move to the north of England, please, because it's just awful," Anton proclaimed.
