Two people have been arrested after a man was shot on Upton Lane in Newham, east on Monday afternoon. Police and paramedics attended the scene, where one man was found with a wound and taken to hospital-his condition is not life-threatening. Two other people were treated for head injuries, and one of the suspects remains in hospital with minor injuries.
A firearm was recovered at the scene. Chief Inspector Daryl Jones of the said the incident would have had "an enormous impact" on the community and urged residents with concerns to speak to officers.
