Lorraine Kelly red-faced after co-star forced to correct ITV host on air

Lorraine Kelly was joined by Tyler West as the duo discussed all things Strictly Come Dancing during Tuesday's edition of her daytime show. The presenter, 65, slipped up live on-air as ITV viewers all said the same thing amid the slight blunder. Lorraine began: "Strictly is back in the headlines this morning but it's all good though." She continued: "Reports of who could be in this year's lineup. Tyler joins me now."

However, the Scottish-born presenter suggested her colleague and celebrity news reporter should sign up for Strictly - but he was forced to correct her when the commentator confirmed he already took part in the dance competition three years ago in an awkward turn of events.

Lorraine said: "Well you, obviously, should be there. I could see you in the lineup. You'd be fantastic."

A perplexed Tyler responded: "I've already done it, Lorraine."

But the ever consummate professional rebounded swiftly, saying: "I know. I'd like to see you again. As a pro."

"Go back for part two as a pro?" Tyler questioned. "I mean, that says a lot. I just got to get through Blackpool and hope Shirley picks me."

Lorraine assured: "That's what I meant."

Viewers reacted to the on-air blunder as one wrote: "Lorraine forgot Tyler had already done #Strictly."

"Lorraine: I wanna see you on Strictly. Tyler: 'I already did it Lorraine.' Embarrassing #lorraine," a second commented.

Lorraine went on to tell Tyler that he's 'the only person' she'd like to dance with in spite of her Strictly fears.

She explained: "I can't do that show because it would be too scary. With you it would be quite fun. Anyway this is all in my head."

Sharing an insight into his Strictly experience, Tyler said: "This is around the time I'd been asked. It was around July and then it was the worst secret in the world."
