Piers Morgan has issued a warning to Scottish protestors days before Donald Trump is set to land in Scotland for his five-day trip, where he owns two golf courses. The US president is set to arrive in Aberdeenshire later this afternoon (July 25) for his first visit to the UK since his re-election.
The Republican leader will be met by both political leaders and protestors during the visit and will see him inaugurate a new golf course. His visit comes two months before the King is due to welcome Trump for a formal state visit to the UK. It comes as the president faces turmoil across the pond as he struggles to salvage his reputation with voters following reports around his friendship with convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
As hundreds of Scotts take to the streets in protest ahead of his arrival, LBC presenter Andrew Marr welcomed Piers Morgan onto the show to share his candid advice on the politician's backlash.
Andrew began: "There's an awful lot people in this country who just can't stick him, can't stick his politics, can't stick his demeanour. But [they're] also very, very worried about the mass deportations and the way he's played Ukraine and the rest of it.
"What would be your candid advice to people in Scotland thinking of going out to protest against him?" Piers bluntly replied: "I would just [say], 'Calm your jets'."
The Uncensored broadcaster went on to compare the Republican leader to Barack Obama and their approaches to mass deportation in the US.

He pointed out: "Let's look at Trump in the first six months of his second term. Let's compare him, if you like, to Barack Obama. I don't remember any protests when Obama came to town.
"My liberal friends don't like to be reminded of this, but Barack Obama deported more people in eight years than any president in history, pro rata, per year, over three million people got deported in Obama's tenure.
"So Trump is nowhere near the levels that Obama delivered, and I'm not defending all the deportation stuff that's going on." Concluding their call, he urged Sotts to try not to panic when Trump arrives and tackle his trip "calmly".
He finished: "So generally, don't lose your mind over Trump. Try and be a little bit more rational, a little bit calmer, and argue the toss with him."
It didn't take long before fans flooded to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their thoughts on the two US presidents online, with many pointing out that Obama didn't have any convictions during his time in office.
One user asked: "Remind me again, how many felonies was Obama convicted of?" as another echoed: "He wasn't a 34x convicted felon..."
A third fumed: "Obama wasn't a lying, cheating scumbag" while a fourth argued: "It's not about the number, it's about the methods. Also, and this is a big one, Obama wasn't a complete t**t, but Trump is."
Meanwhile, one user agreed with Morgan, adding: "He thrives on attention so it would be better if we all just ignored him."
