Hulk Hogan undergoes neck surgery amid public concerns over health and family turmoil

Send Push
Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has undergone neck surgery this week, adding to a long list of health procedures he has endured over the past decade. According to a statement given to TMZ Sports by a representative, the 71-year-old WWE Hall of Famer had a “little fusion procedure” done to alleviate pain and improve his overall well-being. The rep noted it was a “quick turnaround” and that Hogan was already back on his feet the following day.

A decade of pain: Hulk Hogan’s struggles with surgeryHogan, whose real name is Terry Eugene Bollea, has battled a series of physical setbacks in recent years. In a 2023 article for Men’s Health, the legendary wrestler revealed that he had undergone 25 surgeries over the past ten years, including procedures on his knees, hips, shoulders, back, eyes, and abdominal area.

"Apparently wrestling is all ‘fake,’ but I sure didn’t get that memo,” Hogan wrote at the time. Alongside his physical recovery, he also took steps to improve his lifestyle - cutting down on alcohol, replacing pain medications with CBD products, and focusing on reducing inflammation.

However, his health was not the only topic drawing attention. Earlier this month, Hogan sparked widespread concern during a TV appearance on Fox & Friends. Sporting an unusual two-toned beard, his signature white mustache contrasted sharply with dark stubble - fans were quick to flood social media with questions about his appearance and well-being.

“What in the fresh hell is going on with his face?” one user posted on X. Others described him as looking “unwell” and even compared his look to a “1970s station wagon” in a Canadian newspaper column.

Hulk Hogan family drama spills into public viewBeyond the health concerns, Hogan’s personal life has also been making headlines. His ex-wife, Linda Hogan, recently accused him of contributing to their daughter Brooke’s estrangement from the family. In an emotional video posted online, Linda alleged that Hogan was a “sex addict” and a “complete liar.” Brooke, for her part, fired back, claiming years of verbal, mental, and even physical abuse from her parents.

“I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood,” she wrote on social media, adding that the trauma robbed her of confidence and self-esteem. Linda later escalated the conflict, accusing Brooke of breaking her collarbone during a drunken altercation.

Despite the mounting controversies, Hogan appears focused on his recovery and professional endeavors. Alongside fellow WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff and wrestler Israel “Izzy” Martinez, Hogan is set to launch American Freestyle Wrestling, with its debut event scheduled for August 30 in Cleveland, Ohio.
