As the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) honoured Rohit Sharma by renaming a stand at the iconic Wankhede Stadium after him, tributes flowed in from all corners — but none more touching than the one from his longtime Mumbai Indians and India teammate, Suryakumar Yadav .
Taking to Instagram, Suryakumar poured his heart out in a message that encapsulated the admiration and bond shared between the two cricketers.
"Congratulations @rohitsharma45 on achieving incredible things on the cricket ground — from finisher to opener to our captain, you have been an inspiration and our pride, in every role."

The post came shortly after the MCA inaugurated the Rohit Sharma Stand at Wankhede formerly Divecha Pavilion Level 3 celebrating the local boy from Borivali who rose to global greatness. The dedication comes on the heels of Rohit's latest triumph: leading India to victory in the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup.
