Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently offered a rare peek into his personal routine, revealing his personal approach to navigating a demanding schedule as the leader of the tech company. When asked about fitting rest into his packed schedule, Pichai candidly shared, "Of course, sleep is important", adding that he aims for a consistent six hours of sleep.

When asked by an interviewer in a recent candid exchange, about the possibility of finding time for sleep amidst his daily responsibilities, Pichai offered a relatable response.

"Look, I mean, of course you know sleep is important," he said, adding, "I try to get 6 hours that's my goal. And I, you know, I think I average around there."

Exciting time to be in the tech industry: Pichai
Sundar Pichai acknowledged the dynamic nature of the technology sector, describing it as "an exciting time in the industry." Despite the constant flux and intense pace, he shared a personal habit that helps him manage his sleep patterns.

"I've always been a late night person," he noted, explaining, "I tend to catch up towards the end of the day, but yeah that's what I do."

Last year, Pichai shared his morning routine, which included beginning his day by not visiting the traditional news outlets like The Wall Street Journal or The New York Times, rather turning to a less mainstream source: Techmeme , a website aggregating tech news headlines from various publications.

Not only Sundar Pichai, the website is also a source of news for many tech executives, including Meta-owned Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft's Satya Nadella . Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, along with a few other senior tech executives are reportedly also loyal readers of the website.
