NEW DELHI: The central government has launched " Operation Sindoor " carrying out precision strikes on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. It said that its "actions have been focused and measured and non-escalatory in nature".
"No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution," it added.
This military action was a direct response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, including 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen .
