Udupi: Mahantesh Hangargi (KMAS) has officially assumed charge as the new commissioner of the Udupi City Municipal Council.
Prior to this, he served as the chief officer in Harugeri Town Panchayat, Vijayapura City Municipal Corporation, and Indi Town Panchayat.
Hailing from Nandikeshwar village in Badami taluk of Bagalkote district, Hangargi is a graduate in B.Sc (Agriculture). He belongs to the 2017 batch of Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS).
Officials and staff of the municipal council welcomed him as he took over his new responsibilities.
